Automated ERP for nonprofit
TL;DR – Transitioned from Excel-based information systems to Integrated and Automated ERP within a few hours.
About
Yad Labanim is the organization delegated by Israel to commemorate the memory of the fallen soldiers of Israel, and support their families through counseling, mentorship, and a supportive community, helping them return to living fulfilling lives.
They support 14,000 bereaved family members via 60 branches across Israel and produces over 100 events yearly, and strives to optimize its operations to maximize the available budget for the benefit of the bereaved families.
Challenge
In its attempts to minimize operational costs, Yad Labanim adopted spreadsheets as its primary tool to manage organizational data.
Tragic circumstances led to the organization’s operational growth, most of the processes were disconnected and required manual handling, and soon became unwieldy, and forced them to outsource many of the tasks which hurt the organization’s precious budget, hindered management’s ability to make the most educated decisions for the benefit of the families and provide them with the most efficient service.
For a few months Yad Labanim attempted a monolithic migration to a new leading system that struggled to contain their custom processes. the timeframe and budget were far exceeded and the initiative was abandond.
Solution
Origami imported Yad Labanim’s spreadsheets and converted them into a working ERP within 4 manhours.
Origami continued to trickle into other Yad Labanim’s core systems and integrated them under its platform, including a self-service portal for member registration, event ticketing and payment, orders of ‘Hever’ cards, an event production and management system, and much more.
Results
The platform immediately enabled extensive automation that greatly minimized operational toll and expenses while improving the quality of service, timeliness, and organizational communication.
The families commend the noticeable service improvements.
